A sponsored walk to transform deaf people’s lives
Hearing loss is rising. This invisible disability has devastating impacts on people’s safety and mental health. Take part in this 3km or 7km sponsored dog walk and raise funds to train more incredible hearing dogs who alert to life-saving and important sounds and break down social barriers for deaf people.
Sign up today and you’ll receive a FREE dog bandana, and every penny you raise will help deaf people to leave loneliness behind and reconnect with life.
This is a great opportunity to explore the beautiful Belvoir Castle Estate along with other dog lovers and their four-legged friends! There will be have-a-go dog agility and other fun games to enjoy before and after the walk. So get your Great British Dog Walk tickets and we look forward to seeing you there!
The group walk starts at 11am – after the fun dog show which starts at 10.30am. If you would prefer not to walk with the main group, then please come and start when you are ready at any time whilst registration is open – between 10am and 11.30am.

16:00 - 19:00 29th May 2024
More InformationRoald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical is an inspirational musical tale of an extraordinary girl who discovers her superpower and summons the remarkable courage to help others change their stories, and takes charge of her own destiny.
Matilda Wormwood is a little girl with big curiosity, a sharp mind and a vivid imagination — and the worst parents in the world. On meeting her inspirational teacher, Miss Honey, Matilda is encouraged and begins conjuring her own fantastical tales. Excited to attend Crunchem Hall, Matilda is surprised to find the school is an ominous and oppressive place led by the huge and villainous Miss Trunchbull. As well as kind Miss Honey, the bright lights among the meanness are story-loving librarian, Mrs. Phelps, and Matilda’s newfound school friends.
Film starts at 5pm. Free themed crafts and refreshments available to purchase in the cafe from 4pm.
Adult £6, Child £4, Family £18.

More InformationTake on an incredible ride alongside veterans, choosing 1 of 3 scenic routes of varying distances (152km/100km/50km), starting and finishing at the Royal British Legion’s first-class Battle Back Centre for recovery before heading through the picturesque Shropshire countryside.
Using decades of cycling know-how, each of the three distance routes offered have been professionally designed. While you enjoy stunning scenery, rolling hills, and tour past local landmarks - the team makes sure you have everything you need. This really is a sportive not to be missed.
By taking part you’re helping the Royal British Legion raise vital funds to ensure they can continue to support serving and ex-serving personnel, and their families, for as long as they need it.
There is no fundraising limit but for those who go the extra mile (not literally) and raise over £300, will earn their own RBL Cycling Jersey to wear with pride on the day.
Not a cyclist? There are also amazing opportunities to volunteer on the day offering a great way to get involved which will still contribute massively to support the Royal British Legion’s armed forces community and veterans.
