This is the story of an all-consuming dream, the cost of a human soul, and a deal with the Devil.
Robert Johnson & The Devil is a myth inspired by the original bluesman, with live delta blues and spirituals, told in the best fireside tradition. An icon for Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan and Led Zeppelin, and the first member of the infamous ‘27 club’, Robert Johnson’s disappearance remains shrouded in mystery to this day. -

This walk is part of the Walk for Wellbeing programme, delivered in collaboration with Lingen Davies Cancer Support. It is specifically designed for people living with cancer, those currently in treatment, individuals in recovery, and cancer survivors across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales — and is completely FREE.
The aim of these walks is to create a safe and welcoming space where participants can enjoy movement, fresh air, and the restorative benefits of nature alongside others who understand the cancer journey.
Starting from the beautiful Carding Mill Valley, we’ll follow scenic valley trails before climbing into the dramatic landscape of the Long Mynd. Along the way we’ll explore hidden waterfalls, peaceful upland valleys, and one of the highest viewpoints in the Shropshire Hills — all while walking at a supportive group pace.
This is more than just a hike. It’s a chance to reconnect with nature, build confidence outdoors, and spend time with people who share similar experiences — with no pressure to share, just a shared understanding.

Join storyteller Gav Cross and perhaps a late night ghost or two.
Certainly a twist on some old classics.
Almost certainly a smile.
Perhaps a nervous glimpse over the shoulder?
As we scratch our way into the darker routes of the stories we think we know.“Gav Cross treats children like they're horrible and adults like they're children and the results are hilarious and magical. Gav brings energy, joy and a refreshing approach to traditional storytelling, getting the audience involved and keeping them on their toes with the unexpected twists and turns of his tales.”

More InformationJoin us for a peaceful and uplifting guided walk through one of the UK’s most unique and magical landscapes — where vast open skies, rare wildlife, and ancient peatlands create a space to truly slow down and breathe.
The aim of these walks is to create a safe, welcoming space where participants can enjoy gentle movement, fresh air, and the calming benefits of nature alongside others who understand the cancer journey.
Our adventure begins with a gentle stroll along the Llangollen Canal, where we’ll pass the fascinating Morris' Swing Bridge — a hand-operated bridge that lifts to allow narrowboats through, offering a lovely moment to pause and watch canal life drift by. From here, we’ll step out onto the vast expanse of the Whixall Mosses — a rare raised peat bog landscape shaped over thousands of years. With its wide open skies, quiet stillness, and unique “bouncy” ground beneath your feet, it’s a place that feels a world away from everyday life.
This is more than just a walk. It’s an opportunity to rebuild confidence, reconnect with your body, and spend time outdoors in a calm, supportive environment — with no pressure to share, just a shared understanding.
