10:00 - 14:00 11th June 2026
More InformationJoin us for a refreshing guided hike across one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Shropshire Hills — where sweeping hilltop views, hidden valleys, and cascading waterfalls create a truly unforgettable outdoor experience.
This walk is part of the Walk for Wellbeing programme, delivered in collaboration with Lingen Davies Cancer Support. It is specifically designed for people living with cancer, those currently in treatment, individuals in recovery, and cancer survivors across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales — and is completely FREE.
The aim of these walks is to create a safe and welcoming space where participants can enjoy movement, fresh air, and the restorative benefits of nature alongside others who understand the cancer journey.
Starting from the beautiful Carding Mill Valley, we’ll follow scenic valley trails before climbing into the dramatic landscape of the Long Mynd. Along the way we’ll explore hidden waterfalls, peaceful upland valleys, and one of the highest viewpoints in the Shropshire Hills — all while walking at a supportive group pace.
This is more than just a hike. It’s a chance to reconnect with nature, build confidence outdoors, and spend time with people who share similar experiences — with no pressure to share, just a shared understanding.

Mark Thomas: 40 In Stand Up Years
19:30 12th June 2026
at Festival Drayton Centre
Market DraytonMark Thomas: 40 In Stand Up Years
19:30 - 22:00 12th June 2026

More InformationMark Thomas celebrates 40 years at the mic. In that time he has changed laws on tax, jailed arms dealers, kick started a comedy circuit in Palestine, given evidence before three Parliamentary select committees and has taken the police to court three times and won. The world’s moving far too fast to predict what the content will be but it is the normal stuff of government and personal mayhem, expect jokes, rants, politics, swearing, staring into apocalypse and possible nudity as he emerges from large cake singing happy birthday Mr President.*
*Cake correct at time of publication.
Join Mark as he tries to turn “what the f**k is going on” into a cogent hour of stand up.

10:00 - 13:00 24th June 2026
More InformationJoin us for a peaceful and uplifting guided walk through one of the UK’s most unique and magical landscapes — where vast open skies, rare wildlife, and ancient peatlands create a space to truly slow down and breathe.
The aim of these walks is to create a safe, welcoming space where participants can enjoy gentle movement, fresh air, and the calming benefits of nature alongside others who understand the cancer journey.
Our adventure begins with a gentle stroll along the Llangollen Canal, where we’ll pass the fascinating Morris' Swing Bridge — a hand-operated bridge that lifts to allow narrowboats through, offering a lovely moment to pause and watch canal life drift by. From here, we’ll step out onto the vast expanse of the Whixall Mosses — a rare raised peat bog landscape shaped over thousands of years. With its wide open skies, quiet stillness, and unique “bouncy” ground beneath your feet, it’s a place that feels a world away from everyday life.
This is more than just a walk. It’s an opportunity to rebuild confidence, reconnect with your body, and spend time outdoors in a calm, supportive environment — with no pressure to share, just a shared understanding.
