LEGO Walk – Fundraiser for Severn Hospice
Take part in our special LEGO Walk and make a real difference in the lives of families in our community. Every step you take helps Severn Hospice continue its incredible work, providing compassionate care, comfort, and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones.Registration is free, but participants are asked to confirm their place with a minimum donation of £100 (or £50 for children under 16).
The walk is open to everyone, including children aged 5 and over. So, gather all your family and friends, walk in memory or in support and help us raise much needed funds for Severn Hospice.
Beyond the walk, there’s plenty of entertainment for everyone! Enjoy:

More InformationGet ready for a spectacular weekend of motorsport as the Hills Ford Stages comes to Shropshire on 19–20 September 2026.
The action begins in the heart of Shrewsbury on Saturday, with the rally cars gathering for a Ceremonial Start before heading to Weston Park for four stages and an afternoon and evening of rally entertainment.
On Sunday, the competition moves onto the closed public roads of Shropshire, where crews will tackle five stages, each run twice, in the battle to become the 2026 Hills Ford Stages winners.
With some of the UK’s leading rally crews, historic machinery and a huge variety of competition cars taking part, it promises to be a fantastic weekend for motorsport fans, families and anyone who simply wants to experience the sights and sounds of a major rally.

More InformationOne of Shropshire's newest sporting events roars into life on Saturday 19 September as the inaugural Hills Ford Stages Rally Festival arrives at Weston Park.
The Rally Festival forms the opening day of the Hills Ford Stages Rally weekend, beginning with the ceremonial start in Shrewsbury before around 150 rally crews head to Weston Park to tackle four spectacular special stages, including the famous Weston Park Water Splash, with almost five hours of thrilling rally action.
There's much more than motorsport too. Visitors can enjoy local trade stands, food and refreshments, family attractions, the PATHWAYS – Discover Motorsport education zone, the DriveWize road safety initiative, and opportunities to meet the volunteers who make rallying possible.
The rally continues on Sunday 20 September with a full day of closed-road competition across five stages in South Shropshire, each run twice, as crews battle for overall victory. This year's event welcomes competitors from eight rally championships, featuring everything from iconic historic rally cars to the very latest Rally2 machinery. Several championships feature double-header rounds, while others reach their season finale at the Hills Ford Stages, where national championship titles will be decided.
As a not-for-profit event, spectator parking at Weston Park is managed by local charities and community groups, with all parking donations going directly to support their work.

The action begins in the heart of Shrewsbury on Saturday, with the rally cars gathering for a Ceremonial Start before heading to Weston Park for four stages and an afternoon and evening of rally entertainment.
On Sunday, the competition moves onto the closed public roads of Shropshire, where crews will tackle five stages, each run twice, in the battle to become the 2026 Hills Ford Stages winners.

More InformationLights Out Events are pleased to be hosting Belinda O’Hooley, a renowned pianist, singer and composer, probably best known as one half of O’Hooley & Tidow, who rose to international prominence for writing and performing the theme to the hit TV series Gentleman Jack(which also led to an acting role for Belinda on the iconic TV drama Happy Valley). Formerly a member of Rachel Unthank and the Winterset (now The Unthanks), Belinda has performed with her partner Heidi Tidow to a very appreciative audience at the Hermon Chapel before in 2018. Drawing on her heritage in the west of Ireland, Belinda’s music showcases her unique ,minimalist and deeply expressive style. The first woman in her family to reclaim a previously all-male tradition, she has found the freedom to interpret the music of her ancestors in her very own, singular way.

Edward was openly gay and on Wednesday, April 10th, 1912, he set sail for NYC on a ticket bought for him, by his parents in the hope his American family could put him 'right'.
Third Class charts Edward's journey from boarding the Titanic to swimming for 30 minutes towards an already full, collapsable lifeboat and how he, upon arriving in New York would tour the Vaudeville circuit, recreating the stories for a fact-hungry public.
But Edward didn't want fame; he wanted revenge.
When everyone was talking about the deaths of millionaires and society figures, few were discussing the people who took the lion's share of the losses that night: the third class.
Using music, movement, projection, and historical facts, Third Class tells the story of an unknown hero from a well-known story.

Its four members combine a deep knowledge of traditional music with a wide range of other influences and expertise and a deep sense of musical interaction. Newly composed pieces sit alongside timeless traditional material; their music is both sophisticated and earthy, groundbreaking and familiar, enchanting and thrilling. Their national tours, BBC radio broadcasts and collaborations have helped them blaze a trail through the uncharted territory that lies between folk and chamber music. Their two fiddlers are Emma Reid, who is no stranger to Rhydycroesau – she’s played here in several combinations over the years – and Grace Smith, whose many other collaborations include a duo with Sam Sweeney. They are joined by cellist Lucy Elkiss, who studied under jazz violinist Omar Puente, and Miranda Rutter on viola, who often collaborates with the likes of Chris Wood, Rob Harbron and, again, Sam Sweeney.
The legendary Alistair Anderson called their music a 'joyous cauldron of sound’, while accordionist Karen Tweed described them as ‘a marvel of musicality’.
