The ArcMore InformationA relaxed hand-building clay session for beginners, led by artist Lucia Fraser at her studio in Chirk Bank. During the session you'll be introduced to a range of traditional hand-building techniques including coiling, pinching and slab-building. Whether you're completely new to clay or simply looking for a creative morning, you'll be guided through the making process at your own pace. At the end of the session, you'll choose colours from a selection of studio glazes for your pieces to be glazed and fired by Lucia once they are dry. Your finished work will be ready to collect within 4-6 weeks.

More InformationShrewsbury Town will host a spectacular evening of entertainment this Bonfire Night as Social Eats brings Shrewsbury Fireworks & Food to The Croud Meadow.
Taking place on Thursday, November 5, 2026, the event promises a packed evening of entertainment, with something for all the family to enjoy.
Visitors can look forward to an award-winning fireworks display, spectacular laser show and live entertainment throughout the evening.
The entertainment will also include live music, DJs and fire breathers, while a wide selection of street food, drinks and craft stalls will be available throughout the event.
There will be plenty of food and drink options to choose from, including street food, cocktails, beers and mulled wine, alongside a selection of craft stalls.
Whether you're planning a family night out, meeting friends or looking for a way to celebrate Bonfire Night, Shrewsbury Fireworks & Food promises to be a spectacular evening at The Croud Meadow.
Tickets for the event - which will run from 6pm to 10pm - cost £12.50 plus a booking fee. Children under-3 go free.

More InformationRob Clamp was the touring ShireFolk artist for July 2024 - he was so great we invited him back with his band ‘The Ashmen’ to headline the Bridgnorth High Street Stage in 2025 - they were so great and due to popular demand, Rob Clamp and the Ashmen are returning for a 1 night special at the Castle Hall!
Having supported the likes of; Frank Turner, James Walsh (Starsailor) and The Bluetones, Rob Clamp is making a name for himself as a dynamic and captivating performer. 'It’s not often you come across a voice with such controlled power: even at the emotional heights and depths of the songs, Rob’s voice retains a purity and focus that is all too rare. Wherever his songwriting leads him, his voice adapts to the genre, from pop through folk and roots. A classic voice for classic music.' Hailing from Southampton, Rob has been featured on BBC introducing, has won the highly regarded ‘Purbeck Rising 2022’ imprinting himself onto the UK folk scene, and won the ‘Sofia International Singer Songwriter Festival 2022’ in Bulgaria.Heavily influenced by the likes of; Ben Howard, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Bruce Springsteen - Rob’s music is filled with real life experiences, performed in his own compelling storytelling style, with acoustic guitar accompanied by a variation of foot percussion.
Recent years have been eventful for Rob, selling out numerous shows across the South of England and mainland Europe. His debut album ‘Lost Soul’ was released in Spring 2024 featuring his longstanding supporting band, ‘The Ashmen’. The band consists of; Sam Weeks (drums & banjo), Ben Reid (piano, guitar and mandolin), Ed Bentley (bass) and Dave Elliott (violin & harmonica). The group have become synonymous with dynamic and powerful performances and have been touted as having a sound big enough to work well in front of several thousand people.
