TelfordThe Halloween Disco for Single People in Shropshire
19:30 - 23:30 30th October 2026

Mercure Telford Centre HotelMore InformationA Witches and Wizards-themed Halloween disco for single people in Shropshire!
How do you fancy dancing and chatting with potential dates at THE Halloween Disco for Single People in Shropshire? There are not many places you can have a night out knowing everyone in the room is single!
Taking place at the Mercure Hotel in Telford, this is going to be a fun night with cheesy dance floor fillers, optional matching games and the opportunity to find friends, connections and maybe love.
I can not stress this enough... please only buy a ticket if you are single, and don't bring friends who are in relationships. We want this to be a room full of opportunities for singles in Shropshire.
You can choose to either wear witches or wizards fancy dress or just dress fancy - there is never any pressure at my discos! These have been the nicest events to attend, based on feedback and reviews, and a genuinely lovely way to meet new people and potentially to find love!
Tickets are limited by gender, and they have sold out previously, so if you do fancy this, don't wait too long or negotiate with yourself!

atRob Clamp & The Ashmen - Live in concert
19:30 - 22:30 7th November 2026

More InformationRob Clamp was the touring ShireFolk artist for July 2024 - he was so great we invited him back with his band ‘The Ashmen’ to headline the Bridgnorth High Street Stage in 2025 - they were so great and due to popular demand, Rob Clamp and the Ashmen are returning for a 1 night special at the Castle Hall!
Having supported the likes of; Frank Turner, James Walsh (Starsailor) and The Bluetones, Rob Clamp is making a name for himself as a dynamic and captivating performer. 'It’s not often you come across a voice with such controlled power: even at the emotional heights and depths of the songs, Rob’s voice retains a purity and focus that is all too rare. Featuring the stellar fiddle -singer Hannah Cumming with acclaimed accordionist Paul Hutchinson and clarinettist and bass clarinettist Karen Wimhurst. Inspired by traditional music of the UK, this is an evening of bold, brave music, improvisation, beautiful vocals and plenty of humour along the way. Speed Dating 27-37 year olds Shrewsbury
19:30 18th November 2026
at Albright Hussey Manor Hotel
ShrewsburySpeed Dating 27-37 year olds Shrewsbury
19:30 - 22:00 18th November 2026

More InformationMeet single people aged between 27 and 37 years old - up to 19 dates in one evening in Shrewsbury!
Speed Dating Shropshire – Ages 27-37 year olds!
A relaxed, friendly way to meet lots of single people in one night!
When you hear speed dating, it can sound a bit intense and maybe even a little daunting.
But the reality?
It’s just a room full of single people in the same position as you.
Some have been single a while.
Some are newly single.
Some haven’t dated in years.
Everyone is simply there to chat, meet new people, and see what happens. What makes our events different?
We’ve been running these events for over a year and a half now, and we sell out almost every single time. That means on the night, you can expect:
* Around 16-19 men and 16-19 ladies
This isn’t one of those events where you turn up and the numbers are off. We carefully manage the balance so everyone gets the same experience.
What happens on the night?
When you arrive, you’ll check in and have a chance to settle in with a drink. We start by giving everyone time to chat casually in same-gender groups, so you can relax before the dating begins.
Then the evening is split into two halves:
* You’ll have 4 minutes per date
* With 1 minute in between to make notes
* You’ll meet everyone of the opposite sex
It’s just enough time to get a feel for someone without any pressure.
How do matches work?
At the end of the night, you simply hand in your card and let us know who you’d like to see again. If they’ve chosen you too, we’ll send you both each other’s phone numbers the next day.
No awkwardness. No pressure. No asking for numbers on the spot.
Safety and atmosphere
We take safety seriously, so you can relax and enjoy the night.* Discreet safety sentence available if you need support
* Our team are present and watching throughout the event
* We oversee the car park at the end of the evening
You’re in a safe, well-run environment from start to finish at lovely hotels and venues.
Why do people love it?
We now have over seventy 5-star reviews, and people consistently tell us the same thing:They were nervous walking in and completely fine within minutes.
There’s something quite special about being in a room where everyone is single and open to conversation. That doesn’t happen very often anymore.
If you’ve been thinking about it then this is your sign to give it a go.

atThe Creation - Joseph Haydn - Shrewsbury Cantata Choir
19:30 - 21:45 21st November 2026

More InformationHaydn’s The Creation, first performed in 1798, is one of the great choral works of the Classical period. Inspired by the biblical accounts of the creation of the world, together with Milton’s Paradise Lost, Haydn’s oratorio moves from the primordial darkness to the creation of light, the natural world and, finally, humanity. Its three-part structure combines solo arias and recitatives with choruses of remarkable variety, from the dramatic opening to the celebrated The Heavens are Telling. Haydn’s vivid orchestral writing gives musical form to storms, sunrise, the changing seasons and the animal kingdom, while the final section celebrates Adam and Eve and the harmony of the newly created world.

Christmas tree expert Tom Pountney will be on hand to help visitors choose the right tree and offer advice on looking after it throughout the festive season.
For every Christmas tree sold, £1 will be donated to Severn Hospice, Salop Leisure’s charity of the year. Salop Leisure hopes to sell over 1,000 trees.
Christmas Saturday Evening
The festivities continue into Saturday evening, when Shrewsbury Male Voice Choir will be performing, and Love2Stay will be serving mulled wine and burgers.

Love PlantsMore InformationThe LovePlants Christmas Market is back for 2026, bringing together local makers, festive food and drink and plenty of Christmas atmosphere at Salop Leisure in Shrewsbury.
Following the success of last year’s market, around 40 artisan businesses will be setting up stalls across LovePlants and undercover in the polytunnel.
Visitors can browse Christmas gifts from independent businesses including Wrekin Spirit, The Shropshire Macaron Co, Bonbonniere and Cuddle Me Cashmere, while enjoying mulled wine, hot drinks and sweet seasonal treats.
It’s a chance to get some Christmas shopping done while supporting local businesses, and there’s plenty more happening across Salop Leisure, LovePlants and Love2Stay to make a full festive day of it.
Choose Your Christmas Tree
LovePlants will have freshly cut Nordmann Fir Christmas trees and potted varieties available in sizes from 4ft to 12ft.
Visitors can browse the Christmas Market, pick out their Christmas tree and then head across to Love2Stay to continue the festive fun.
