At Davenport House we only do fabulous and we have decided to extend this to exquisite Afternoon Tea! We invite you to indulge in the finest British tea tradition and a sparkling celebration with our Afternoon Tea experiences at Davenport House.

Savour a selection of finely cut sandwiches, freshly baked scones with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry preserve, and a mouth-watering range of exquisitely presented pastries and teacakes, replenished on request.

As well as many different types of loose-leaf tea to choose from, why not sip a glass of Champagne to add some extra sparkle to the occasion.

This fabulous English Afternoon Tea in Shropshire is served in the spectacular surroundings of Davenport House Grand Hall, Drawing room and Morning Room.

Dress Code

Please note that shorts, trainers, and sportswear are not permitted for ladies or Gentlemen at Davenport House. Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket. Children under the age of 12 do not have to conform to the dress code smart casual attire is permitted.

Children’s Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea at Davenport is a timeless experience for families to enjoy together. Our Children’s Afternoon Tea menu features the same quintessentially English finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries as our traditional menu, perfectly portioned for dainty fingers. We have chosen a perfect specially blended decaffeinated tea, so those little ones can partake in the same ritual as their parents. This famously British Afternoon Tea experience is sure to be the start of a new family tradition for decades to come.
