More InformationFor 8 years Goldstone has been selected to open our gardens for the National Garden Scheme (NGS), which currently raises more than £3.5 million each year to nursing, caring and gardening charities.
We are open for the NGS for five days in 2025 and will donate all entrance fees on those days to the National Garden Scheme.
All our NGS dates have opening times of 11am-5pm, unless it states otherwise.
Admissions and Refreshments
Entry is £8.50 per person and children are admitted free of charge.On arrival, please come to the hotel reception to pay the NGS garden admission cost to one of our hotel reception team.
Tea/coffee and cake will be available in the oak pavilion but at an additional cost to the admission fee.
A traditional afternoon tea is also available but must be booked in advance by calling 01630 661 202. Our menu is available to view here.

Hummel: Piano Trio in E♭ major, Op.12Steven Devine, the conductor of the English Haydn Festival Orchestra, displays his talent on the fortepiano alongside Simon Standage, leader of the orchestra and Salomon String Quartet and musicologist Pavel Serbin, cello. Steven is the Principal Keyboard Player with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and also The Gonzaga Band, and performs regularly with many other groups around Europe.
Simon Standage is well known as a virtuoso violinist specialising in 17th and 18th-century music. Leader and soloist with the English Haydn Orchestra, he also fulfilled the same role for many years with the City of London Sinfonia.
Pavel Serbin is recognised for not only his orchestral and solo performances, but his passion for research into lost compositions of both Russian and European eighteenth century composers.

Haydn: Symphony in G major, Hob.I:8, Le SoirPrince Paul Anton wanted to show off his orchestra to the Viennese aristocracy, and Haydn provided him with ideal material for doing so, amusing them with references to the times of day, including a depiction of the rising of the sun, that opens the triptych of symphonies in Le Matin and the sunset thunderstorm that brings it to a close in Le Soir.
Eva Caballero performs with London-based ensembles and a variety of orchestras, including The Sixteen, Gabrieli Consort & Players, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Armonico Consort.
After training at the Guildhall School of Music, Crispian Steele-Perkins became a member of the English National Opera, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the English Chamber Orchestra.

Schubert: Quartet in D minor, D810, Death and the MaidenSchubert's quartet in D minor, known as ‘Death and the Maiden’ has been called ‘one of the pillars of chamber music repertoire’.
The Beethoven Quartet numbered 34 in the Hess catalogue is a version of the Piano Sonata in e major, Op14, No.1.
These four talented musicians formed their quartet whilst studying at the Royal College of Music, London. They are dedicated to exploring and recreating the sound worlds of the Classical and Romantic string quartet repertoire through period performances.

Haydn arr. Wranitsky: Quartet, Op.71, No.2Paul Wranitsky studied at the Theology Faculty of the University of Olomouc, Czech Republic, and later in Vienna. From 1790, he conducted both royal Viennese theatre orchestras. He was highly respected by Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven; the latter two preferred him as conductor of their new works. This is a rare opportunity to hear his arrangements of the first two of the first set of the ‘Apponyi’ Quartets for a wider group of players.
Haydn's Quartet nicknamed The Joke is the second of the six so-called ‘Russian Quartets’ of 1781.

Violinist Jennifer Pike has taken the musical world by storm with her unique artistry and compelling insight into music from the Baroque to the present day.
Agata Daraškaitė enjoys a busy and varied performing career on both modern and period instruments.
Pavel Serbin is artistic director of the Pratum Integrum Orchestra and solo cellist of the Hofcapella Munchen Orchestra (Bavaria). His main research interests are history of Russian early music and biographies of Russian musicians of the pre-Glinkan era.

This will be a fundraiser concert for Alzheimer’s Research UK charity and will also be the inaugural concert for the new organ at Holy Trinity Church, Much Wenlock. Singing the magnificent Gloria by John Rutter, as well as works by Vaughan Williams, Weelkes and Charles Wood, the singers are delighted to be joined by a 9-piece professional brass band, 2 percussionists and organ. Trumpeter Crispian Steele-Perkins and violinist Jennifer Pike feature as soloists this year with the period-instrument English Haydn Orchestra led by Simon Standage and conducted by Steven Devine. Lunchtime concerts include the Consone Quartet, and the English Haydn Piano Trio with cellist Pavel Serbin. The 'Grand Finale' evening presents Joseph Haydn's choral masterpiece, The Creation, with the Phoenix Singers and international renown soprano Ana Beard Fernandez, together with tenor Timothy Langston and bass Eugene Dillon Hooper, both currently engaged by Covent Garden Opera.

Ian studied as Organ Scholar at Trinity College Cambridge and has an active freelance career both as examiner for Associated Board of Royal School of Music and solo harpsichordist and organist.
