Jo Caulfield
20:00 19th April 2024
at Festival Drayton Centre
Market DraytonJo Caulfield
20:00 - 22:00 19th April 2024
More InformationVoted ‘Comedians’ Comedian of The Year 2022’, Jo Caulfield is “quite simply, a damn funny woman.” (The Guardian)
Jo has appeared on Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You, The John Bishop Show, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, The Royal Variety Performance, and Richard Osman's House of Games.
Nominated as “the best female Stand Up in the country” (Chortle) and “one of the Top 100 Comedians” (Channel 4), Jo is a regular on Radio 4 and a returning guest on Breaking The News. Jo’s first book, “The Funny Thing About Death” was published in August 2023.
Here Comes Trouble is 90 minutes of razor-sharp observations and scandalous one-liners, as Jo gets her claws into everything (and everyone) that annoys her.
From stories about arguing with strangers on trains to dealing with over- enthusiastic supermarket staff, and trying to recapture the magic in a long-term relationship to “helping” organise her newly divorced friend’s dating life, this is pure stand-up, delivered with nothing more than a microphone and a bad attitude.
Packed with brilliant lines, embarrassing anecdotes and hilarious insights, Here Comes Trouble “will have you absolutely helpless with laughter.” - The Herald
"Sharp-witted urban comedy that goes down a treat... like a sociology textbook but with jokes” - The Times
“One of the finest female comedians at work” - The Observer ★★★★★
“An evening of perfect comedy” - The Metro ★★★★★
“One of UK’s smartest comics” - The Herald ★★★★★

Paul Potts
19:30 27th April 2024
at Festival Drayton Centre
Market DraytonPaul Potts
19:30 - 22:00 27th April 2024
More InformationPaul Potts, the Welsh-residing tenor, is living his dream. Bullied and taunted at school, singing in the local church choir proved to be a sanctuary for Paul. Listening to La Boheme at aged 16, Paul fell in love with opera, a romance that was to set him on a turbulent journey that would eventually lead him to win the first series of Britain’s Got Talent in 2007. Truly a life-changing event, Paul released his multi-Platinum debut album ‘One Chance’ that year, topped the charts in 13 countries, appeared on Oprah (twice), brought Times Square to a standstill, announced a global arena tour and became a household name in cities from Seoul to New York and Sydney to Hamburg.
Paul’s story has since inspired the Hollywood film ‘One Chance’ starring James Corden. But the story doesn’t end there. Paul is constantly touring, having now performed well over 1,000 times across 45 countries. Since Paul’s BGT win, he has released a further six studio albums: 2009’s ‘Passione’, 2010’s ‘Cinema Paradiso’ and ‘Home’ in 2014, as well as a Greatest Hits collection in 2013. Paul’s fifth studio album ‘On Stage’ was released in 2017 to celebrate ten years since his historic win, followed by ‘Winter Dreams’ in 2019. Paul’s upcoming album Musica Non Proibita, due September, is a double album of arias that Paul performed during his ‘At Home’ sessions during lockdown.
Paul has also appeared on America’s Got Talent: The Champions where he made it to the Grand Final beating out other winners from around the world. Despite the last few tumultuous years for the touring industry, Paul has managed to perform in South Korea, Japan, Scandinavia, Germany, the UK and Wales in addition to spending many months in the recording studio. In April this year, Paul appeared as the ‘Koala’ in Germany’s version of ‘The Masked Singer’ performing classics from A-Ha, Toto, Elton John and Dua Lipa.
Tickets are priced £24.50 for a standard ticket or £45 for a VIP ticket featuring a meet and greet before the show with Paul.

19:45 - 22:30 28th April 2024
More InformationShe has been likened to an ‘up-tempo Mazzy Star’, Phoebe Bridgers and First Aid Kit.
"Dressner is able to paint visceral images and transport the listener to the world of the song." - American Songwriter
Born and bred in the heart of NYC, Annie's musical journey started at an unexpected crossroads. The night of her high school graduation, she picked up the family guitar for the very first time and discovered a hidden passion that would change her life. Inspired by icons like Simon & Garfunkel, Carly Simon, and Ben Kweller, she began crafting her own melodies, often humming her thoughts like a secret soundtrack to city life.
Annie's artistic odyssey led her to countless open mic nights in the bustling streets of New York, where she learned the art of performance and song writing. It wasn't just about singing; it was about baring her soul through her own creations. These experiences ignited a fire within her, setting the stage for her debut solo show at legendary NYC venue 'The Bitter End' in 2008.
Reflecting on love, friendships and memories, singer-songwriter Annie Dressner bears her soul on her upcoming new album “I Thought It Would Be Easier”, out 5th April via Dharma Records.

Pale Fire Music presents The Nightingales

atPale Fire Music presents The Nightingales
19:30 - 23:00 3rd May 2024
More InformationBirmingham’s original punk group The Prefects had been part of The Clash’s ‘White Riot Tour’, recorded a couple of Peel sessions, released a 45 on Rough Trade and, years after splitting up, had a retrospective CD released by NY label Acute Records to all round glowing reviews – from Rolling Stone to webzines.
The Nightingales was formed by a few members of The Prefects following that band’s demise in 1979. Described in John Robb’s definitive book on post punk (“Death To Trad Rock”) as “The misfits’ misfits” and comprising an ever fluctuating line up, based around lyricist/singer Robert Lloyd, the Nightingales enjoyed cult status in the early ’80’s as darlings of the credible music scene and were championed by John Peel, who said of them – “Their performances will serve to confirm their excellence when we are far enough distanced from the 1980’s to look at the period rationally and other, infinitely better known, bands stand revealed as charlatans”.
After working with various part timers, starry eyed wastrels, precious sorts, and mercenaries the group arrived at it’s current (and now longest standing) line up, which features Lloyd, Andreas Schmid from Faust on bass, ex Violet Violet wonder drummer Fliss Kitson and on guitar James Smith, who Lloyd had spotted playing with Damo Suzuki. -
