An Immersive Goddess Art & Audio Exhibition
19th October to 27th October 2024‘Reclaiming the Wild’ is a visual and audio cyclical journey with 8 Goddess Archetypes and their mythologies. Each Goddess also has an associated bird that brings a message as the symbolic language of the ancient Bird Goddess.
The whole exhibition is created as a Rites of Passage where you move through a cycle of reclaiming the wild nature of your Soul, back from the mind made world of modern-day life with all its burdens and complexities. A doorway is opened to connect into the language of the Goddess and a lost ancient knowledge that activates a new level of Feminine Consciousness awake inside of you.Birds play a pivotal part in the exhibition as you connect with the ancient veneration of birds as divine messengers and the symbolic language of the ancient Bird Goddess, who is also known as the Great Goddess. In many mythologies with Gods and Goddesses from around the world birds play an important part in the imagery and symbolism. In this exhibition each Goddesses has a ‘Totem Bird’ woven into the artwork with her.
In our modern day lives we have lost our connection to the pulse and rhythms of the earth and to the way the Goddess speaks to us through nature, and all Her beings. Through the rocks, the stones, the trees and all Her creatures. Through the wind, the sun, the moon and the stars and the many great Beings embodied in the land. This exhibition is in honour of the Great Goddess, the Divine Feminine principal that sustains, nurtures and shapes our lives yet whose reverence is lost from our daily lives and conscious awareness.

19:00 - 21:30 31st October 2024
More InformationFollowing a successful tour earlier this year, Shropshire Drama Company (SDC) will take its self-penned production, inspired by local folklore from around the county, on the road again this coming autumn.
Written by local playwright and SDC member Michele Rowland-Jones and coinciding with Halloween, Supernatural Shropshire is set to visit the following venues:
Saturday 26 October – Oscars at The Assembly Rooms, Ludlow
Thursday 31 October – The Edge Arts Centre, Much Wenlock
Friday 01 November – Montford Parish Hall, near Shrewsbury.Performed by six actors Supernatural Shropshire is set in a small village pub, where a woman’s quiet drink is disturbed by the arrival of a stranger. With the aid of a cast of storytellers the stranger spends the evening recounting several Shropshire folktales, including stories of ghosts, evil witches and even the devil himself but who is this mysterious stranger and why is it so important that she believes in the stories he tells?
Michele Rowland-Jones said: “Shropshire has a wealth of fascinating folktales and I hope that audiences will enjoy hearing them, as much as I have enjoyed researching them and weaving them into my play.”
Performances begin at 7.30pm and tickets are £10. Details of how to purchase tickets can be found on the SDC website: https://shropshiredramacompany.co.uk.
