A leisurely four-hour cruise that starts and ends in Llangollen. We will meander along the Llangollen Canal taking in all the beautiful scenery that the Dee Valley and its river has to offer. We will then enter Trevor Basin which leads us on to the magnificent Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. We will cross this, not just once, but twice. The view is breath taking.
Your food will be at your table when you board the boat ready for you to eat at your leisure, once we have set off your drinks will be brought to your table.

Think 80’s style Buffet, cheese and onion sticks, vol-au-vents, sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, finger sandwiches. Vegetarian and Vegan options available. (All brought up to date and homemade by us at the Wharf)

More InformationThe Whole Pack Theatre are excited to introduce our new all-female production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a wintry, festive show, touring November-January. We will be performing at Soulton Hall, a gorgeous historical venue in Wem, on 30th Nov (7pm) and 1st Dec (3pm).
The Whole Pack was founded by four female theatre professionals, frustrated by the lack of opportunities for women in our industry. Everyone in our company is female in every role, whether cast, creative or production team. We set out to create thrilling productions which give women the opportunity to bring something daring and different to traditional Shakespeare plays.
This production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a sparkling midwinter frolic, incorporating traditional Christmas songs set to haunting harmonies, to bring festive joy to the darkest of days.

Oswestry Borderland Rotary organises a fantastic procession throughout the town centre of everything from vintage trucks to the biggest Christmas themed floats. Be there early to be sure of a good spot – you might get lucky and catch some of the sweet treats from the floats. All monies raised will be donated to local charities. The parade starts at 11am.It’s market day in Oswestry too, so bring your Christmas shopping list and stay on to browse the indoor and outdoor market stalls. The Christmas Grotto will be open at the Indoor Market with Santa in residence – all proceeds donated to charity.

Meeting at the Coach House, Neil will guide the group for approximately one hour around the garden and perimeter of the castle, whilst you suss out spots to put your skills to the test.
This group is informal and relaxed, there's no pressure to deliver your best work. It's about learning from others and sharing your expertise, enjoying all nature has to offer at this wonderful time of year and meeting new people.
All ages and abilities are welcome to join the group. Whether you've got a digital camera or like using your phone, everyone's welcome to come along.
After the hour session, feel free to wander the garden and castle (no photography inside) as you wish, or why not grab a coffee whilst you review the photos you've snapped?
The evening session on the 19th December will be focused on photography of the Christmas lighting in the courtyard.
No booking required, but normal admission prices to Powis Castle and Garden do apply. Dogs allowed in the garden from 4 September to 28 February.
