THE Halloween Disco for Single People in Shropshire
19:00 31st October 2025
atTHE Halloween Disco for Single People in Shropshire
19:00 - 23:30 31st October 2025

More InformationHow do you fancy dancing and chatting with potential dates at THE Halloween Disco for Single People in Shropshire? There are not many places you can have a night out knowing everyone in the room is single and looking to date!
Taking place at a beautiful country hotel in Shrewsbury, this is going to be a fun night with cheesy dance floor fillers, a DIY photo booth and the opportunity to match with potential dates! I can not stress this enough...please only buy a ticket if you are single, and don't bring friends who are in relationships. We want this to be a room full of opportunities for singles in Shropshire!
You can choose to either wear Halloween-themed fancy dress or just dress fancy - there is never any pressure at my discos! These have been the nicest events to attend, based on feedback and reviews and a genuinely lovely way to meet friends and potentially to find love!
Tickets are limited by gender, and they have sold out previously, so if you do fancy this, don't wait too long or negotiate with yourself! Most people attend on their own so this is normal AND most people are nervous (until they settle in).
We have a matching game at the beginning of the event so you have an excuse to talk to anyone and everyone along with party games (which are optional, again no pressure).

LudlowAn Evening of plays for Remembrance Bloomin’ Good Productions presents Gerald Sibleyras Heroes translated by Tom Stoppard, with Lions led by Donkeys and The Last Lion by Tim Baker
19:30 - 20:30 6th November 2025

More InformationAs part of this years Remembrance and Armistice commemoration Bloomin' Good Productions are touring three gentle, thoughtful comedies around Shropshire. On Thursday November 6th they are at The Assembly Rooms Ludlow.
The evening features the Laurence Olivier Award-winning play Heroes by Gerald Sibleyras, translated by Sir Tom Stoppard (famous for Shakespeare In Love). It's a snapshot of three eccentric WW1 veterans plotting a hopeless escape from their French retirement home. Reviewers describe the humour as being akin to The Last of the Summer Wine.
This one-act play will be accompanied by two new pieces written by local writer Tim Baker.
Set in God's Waiting Room, Lions Led By Donkeys, which references the formation of the Poppy movement, puts Field Marshall Douglas Haig in the spotlight. Challenged over his role in the Great War can he defend his tactics which resulted in two million British Casualties.
In The Last Lion we meet American Rifleman Henry Gunter. What was his unique contribution to The Great War?
An enjoyable evening is promised proving comedy can be the very best way to be respectful.

Speed Dating - 38-45 years
19:30 13th November 2025
at The Shropshire Golf Centre
TelfordSpeed Dating - 38-45 years
19:30 - 22:30 13th November 2025

More InformationWe all need love and connection, and meeting in real life is making a massive comeback! If you’re tired of endless swiping, ghosting, and online small talk that never goes anywhere, this event is your chance to meet real single people face-to-face in a relaxed, friendly setting.
Who’s it for?
This event is for single people aged 38-45 (we allow 2-3 years either side, so 35-48 is fine). The only rule is that you must be single and open to meeting new people – whether that’s for friendship, dating, or something more. What to expect:
✨ To chat with the other people of the same gender when you arrive - this is how the evening starts! It's a great way to settle any nerves (as everyone starts out nervously so that makes you normal).✨ A series of fun, relaxed mini-dates where you’ll chat one-to-one with other singles for just a few minutes each. (Enough time to see if there’s a spark, without any pressure.)
✨ A break between rounds so you can grab a drink, chat with others, and take the evening at your own pace.
✨ At the end, you can privately mark down who you’d like to see again – no awkward rejections, no pressure. If it’s a match, I’ll connect you afterwards! Why people love it:
It’s so much easier than online dating. You get a real sense of chemistry in just a few minutes.
Everyone’s in the same boat – a little nervous at first, but the atmosphere quickly becomes fun and friendly.
Even if you don’t meet “the one,” you’ll have had a great evening out, with the chance to make new friends and expand your social circle.
Venue:
I am hosting this event at Shropshire Golf Centre, Muxton. The bar and restaurant are open beforehand, so you’re welcome to arrive early for a drink or food before the event starts (payable directly to the venue).Important:
Tickets are limited to keep the event balanced and personal – grab yours quickly before they sell out.
Please arrive on time so you don’t miss the introduction.
Bring your best self, an open mind, and don't put too much pressure on yourself. - 1414th November 2025

ShrewsburyEliza Carthy & Jon Boden "The Wassail" Christmas 2025 Tour at Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury.
19:30 - 22:30 17th November 2025

More InformationBefore there was carolling, there was wassailing, where seasonal songs were exchanged for money, food and ale. In the countryside trees were blessed, while in the towns wassaillers went house to house with their songs and calls for Christmas treats. Coming from the Anglo Saxon waes hael, ‘wassail’ is a toast wishing good health with a ‘be well’.
In November/December 2025 Eliza Carthy and Jon Boden combine their considerable talents and reputations within the UK folk scene, touring as a duo once again, for a nationwide wassail across key venues. Presenting seasonal, traditional material on a stage decorated for the occasion, they will take audiences back to some of the oldest songs in the English canon, telling Christmas tales, spreading good cheer and lighting up the darkest days of the year, ahead of Christmas Day itself. - 1818th November 2025

Venue:
I am hosting this event at Haughton Hall Hotel in Shifnal. The bar is open beforehand, so you’re welcome to arrive early for a drink before the event starts (payable directly to the venue).Important:

ShifnalSpeed Dating - 23-29 years
19:30 - 22:30 27th November 2025

More InformationWe all need love and connection, and meeting in real life is making a massive comeback! If you’re tired of endless swiping, ghosting, and online small talk that never goes anywhere, this event is your chance to meet real single people face-to-face in a relaxed, friendly setting.
Who’s it for?
This event is for single people aged 23-29 (we allow 2-3 years either side, so 20-32 is fine).

BridgnorthThose Folk - Shire Folk Tour - Bridgnorth
19:30 - 22:00 29th November 2025

More InformationCharismatic, authentic and thoroughly entertaining, Lawrence Menard (USA) and Clare Quinn (AUS) are the transpacific-troubadours known as ‘Those Folk.’ Having met in Scotland in 2012, they have since travelled extensively and lived in the pine forest mountains of California. They now hang their travelling hats in Pomona, Queensland.
A partnership forged in the fires of folk music, Those Folk explore sounds from the 1960’s folk revival and contemporary Americana music. Breathtaking vocal harmonies are featured alongside rich instrumental work performed on guitars, accordion, mandolin and banjo. Lawrence & Clare are storytellers who make audience members feel like fast friends. As songwriters they delve into love, hope, belonging, and the human condition. As performers they enthral, enchant, and leave a lasting impression.
Lawrence & Clare have been compared to the likes of Simon & Garfunkel and Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings. Those Folk make not just folk music, but music for all sorts of folk.
Shire Folk is bringing some of the UK's finest emerging talent of the folk scene to the Marches region. Each month, Shire Folk is touring an artist for 3 days to exciting venues in Leominster, Bewdley and Bridgnorth. Each mini-tour is supporting an artist you may have never had the opportunity to see before, but will be someone you will definitely want to see again! -
