More InformationCelebrate Galentine’s Day with an unforgettable evening adventure in the Shropshire Hills. This women-only sunset walk is all about self-love, connection, and soaking up one of the most beautiful views in the county with your girl gang.
We’ll meet at the Bridges Pub car park and head up onto the Long Mynd, climbing steadily towards Pole Bank — the highest point in Shropshire at 517 metres. Along the way, we’ll move through open moorland, wide skies, and peaceful hill paths, with plenty of time to chat, laugh, and enjoy the journey.
As the sun begins to dip, we’ll reach the summit and take in panoramic views across the Shropshire Hills and beyond — a moment made for deep breaths, photos, and quiet appreciation. If we’re lucky, we may even spot the famous wild ponies grazing nearby, adding to the magic.
After the walk, you’re very welcome to join us back at The Bridges Pub for some food and a well-earned cosy sit-down — because Galentine’s deserves carbs.

Join Lowri and Janire for a wholesome, restorative half-day retreat designed to help you reset, rewild, and realign as nature begins to wake from winter.This experience is all about soft beginnings, fresh energy, and giving yourself permission to pause.
We’ll begin with a peaceful riverside walk following a beautiful section of the Severn Way and the Shrewsbury River Loop. As we wander beside the water, you’ll notice the subtle signs of spring — budding branches, birdsong returning, and that quiet sense that the world is stretching awake again.
Along the way, we’ll pause for gentle mindfulness moments, simple nature journalling prompts, and space to just be present. No pressure. No performance. Just calm movement, grounded breath, and that lovely “I needed this” feeling.
The 12.5km route is relaxed, scenic, and easy-going, flowing through riverside paths, open green spaces, and peaceful woodland edges — the perfect setting for reflection, reconnection, and soft spring energy.
We’ll finish at Condor Coffee for a cosy coffee or tea, where we’ll gather for gentle spring intention-setting and mini vision-boarding. Think fresh starts, quiet confidence, and planting little seeds for the season ahead — without any New Year pressure attached.

Cosy HallMore InformationA first for Newport Music Club! We are thrilled to introduce the prize-winning accordionist Sofía Ros. Born in the Canary Isles but now based in Glasgow, accordionist Sofía Ros was named BBC Radio Scotland Young Classical Musician of the Year in 2025, following her solo debut with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra performing Astor Piazzolla’s Aconcagua Concerto under the baton of Andrew Gourlay at Glasgow City Halls.
Sofía won First Prize in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s 2024 Concerto Competition and was also a prize winner of the Trophée Mondial de l’Accordéon; and in the Manhattan and Vienna International Music Competitions. A finalist in the keyboard category of the Royal Over-Seas League Competition, Sofía’s performances have been broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland’s Classical Now and BBC Radio 4’s Front Row.
Her impressive list of achievements includes performance at major international venues including Carnegie Hall in New York; the Musikverein, Konzerthaus, and Alten Rathaus in Vienna; the Purcell Room in London; Queen’s Hall and Usher Hall in Edinburgh; and Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall.
