13:00 - 16:00 3rd May 2025
More InformationBeltane Women’s Circle & Flower Crown Celebration
Come celebrate the magic of Beltane with an afternoon of creativity, connection, feasting and full-on blooming energy.
Set in a beautiful bell tent in the countryside, with a roaring fire outside for us to gather around whilst feasting on afternoon tea!
Beltane is an ancient festival celebrating fertility, fire, and the full bloom of spring.
It is a beautiful time to honor life’s abundance, set intentions, and celebrate the blooming energy of the season.
It sits right between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice—the moment when the earth is bursting with life. Traditionally, people would light two great fires and pass their cattle between them, believing the flames carried the sun’s energy and would bring protection and abundance for the year ahead.
We will be incorporating a beautiful fire ritual into our afternoon, with a bonfire (weather permitted.) or a flame at the center of our circle.
We’ll be crafting flower crowns, sharing stories, eating lots of lovely treats and connecting in sisterhood — all while embracing the wild, joyful spirit of this ancient festival with a fire burning next to us!
Flower Crown Workshop: Creating flower crowns is a powerful way to honor Beltane’s connection to nature and fertility. Flowers have long been symbols of growth, beauty, and the cycles of life. As you weave your crown, you’ll have a chance to reflect on your intentions and infuse your creation with your hopes and desires for the season ahead. Wearing a flower crown during the circle is a reminder of your connection to the earth and your own inner blossoming.
All equipment will be provided and you will go home with a beautiful crown.
What to Bring:
A journal and pen for intention-setting
A shawl or blanket incase it gets a bit breezy!
What to Expect:Flower Crown Workshop: We’ll have a spread of fresh, seasonal flowers (each with its own meaning), and you’ll get to weave your own crown as a symbol of your personal intentions.
Meditation: A guided meditation focusing on awakening, blooming, and connecting to the earth’s energy.
Delicious afternoon tea: Sandwiches, scones, cake and a whole lotta tea!
Intention-Setting Ritual: Take a moment to reflect on what you’re calling into your life and infuse your crown with that energy.
Storytelling & Connection: Once we’re crowned, we’ll sit in circle to share stories, laughter, and anything that’s stirring in our hearts.
Sacred Circle & Closing Blessing: We’ll close with a gentle blessing, sending everyone home feeling grounded, radiant, and deeply connected.
Come as you are — leave crowned, glowing, and ready to blossom. - 44th May 2025

BridgnorthHattie Whitehead - ShireFolk Tour
19:00 - 22:00 15th May 2025 – 17th May 2025
More InformationHattie Whitehead is a remarkable musician. She is a powerful and distinctive songwriter, a fine guitarist, an inspired interpreter of classic songs, and a singer with a remarkable vocal and emotional range.
Hattie will be touring the region from 15-17 May 2025 at pop-up venues.
15 May at the Rankin Club in Leominster
16 May at St Anne's Church in Bewdley
17 May at Violets Tea Room in BridgnorthDescribed this year by Jazzwise as ‘one of the greatest singers I have ever heard’, Hattie’s honest, intimate and direct manner weaves its way through her performances and songwriting.
With three EPs, support from the likes of Glastonbury, Guy Garvey and the iPaper, now comes Hattie’s debut album Bloom. Produced by John Reynolds, whose production credits include Sinead O’Connor, this collection of Hattie’s own, highly-personal songs demonstrates her ability to transform personal experiences into music as she addresses themes of grief, re-growth, family, roots and female empowerment.
While her last EP Mechanism was influenced by the death of her mother, Bloom is “more up…the overarching theme is discovering who I am, re-emerging from a period of intense grief and reassessing life from a new viewpoint as a changed person.”Bloom is the result of a lifetime spent in music. Her mum was a music-loving poet, her dad is the celebrated jazz saxophonist Tim Whitehead, and as this debut album proves, Hattie has developed into an empowered artist, unafraid to address difficult themes and drawing her strength through honesty and vulnerability.

Following the release of their new album ‘Parlour Ballads’ (Hudson Records) – released Sept ’24 - Jon Boden & The Remnant Kings return to the live arena with their unique brand of post-apocalyptic folk played in a traditional style vs. traditional folk played with post-apocalyptic swagger.
Boden’s Waitsian parlour ballads and Napoleonic power-pop, will be performed alongside the band’s fifteen-year back-catalogue of traditional and original songs and tunes. The band combines a deep understanding of traditional music with musical audacity and theatrical brio, and feature the enormous talents of Sam Sweeney (Bellowhead), Rob Harbron (Leveret), Ben Nicholls (Seth Lakeman Band), Sally Hawkins (Bellowhead) and the vocals and pedal-steel guitar of cult singer-songwriter M.G. Boulter.
Support for the evening comes from the wonderful Katie Spencer - The songwriting, and most notably her guitar playing stems from a time when the steel-stringed instrument was truly finding its voice. Artists like Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and perhaps most evidently Michael Chapman, flow into her sound, carrying with them the warmth and idealism of the early 70’s folk and songwriter movements.
